This is your first lesson in the 7 Steps to
Info Product Success.
STEP 1: Identifying your NICHE
Before you get started as an information marketer
you need to figure out WHAT you’ll be selling and
to WHOM.
The bottom line is you need to identify a group that
has the desire to buy and ability to pay. Take that
factor and add the fact that you have to choose a
field of concentration that truly interests you. Without
that you’ll get bored and perhaps abandon the
project.
Start out by getting out a sheet of paper and writing
down everything that you have a background or
interest in, either personally or professionally.
Don’t screen things while you’re brainstorming.
JUST WRITE! The more you come up, the better.
The next step will be to find out what people are
searching for online. That in addition to what they
seem to be wiling to spend money for.
For that you need to go to the Google search tool.
You’ll find this at:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Start by entering a few keywords to get a feel for
what this tool can do. If you are interested in or
have a background in bodybuilding, then you
would enter that keyword.
When you get the results for your search you’ll
see the numbers that relate to the number of
searches that people do monthly for that specific
term.
You’re looking for a term where there is ENOUGH
searches, but not TOO many. What does that mean?
What is that specific number? This is where this
business becomes more of an art than a science.
(Remember that you may not pick the right niche
the first time. If you pick correctly 1 out of 3 times you
are doing well.)
Step 2: Write the Copy for Your Product
Before you even do your product, write the copy to
sell it? ABSOLUTELY. Why? This will help you to
produce a great product.
In addition to the sales copy you’ll put on the website
to sell your product you’ll also need a good, detailed
outline. (More of that in the next section.)
Step 3: Create the Product
Step 4: Create/Design a Website to Sell Your Product
Step 5: Drive Traffic to Your Site
Step 6: Convert Your Visitors to Buyers
Step 7: Get those who Buy to Buy MORE and MORE OFTEN
